DSE Chain-of-Command in the following order:

  2. Mrs. Morrison-Head Teacher, Instructional Coach
  3. Mr. Layugan-Level III Teacher
  4. Mrs. Lewis-Level II Teacher, Head Teacher Experience
  5. Ms. Dooley-Level III Teacher
  6. Ms. Glasses-Level III Counselor



For the second semester, each student that did not miss a day of school for a month got their names put into a drawing for a bike.  Students could have had their names placed into the drawing in January, February, March, and April 2015.  The winners for the first semester are the following students:
  • Joseph Farris-Boys K-2
  • Aaron Douglas-Boys Bike 3-5
  • Sara Douglass-Girls K-2
  • Desireay Garcia-Girls 3-5

Health Screening
The school nurses will be at David Skeet Elementary for our annual health screening for students in preschool, kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grades.  Mrs. Tom will be available, that day, to monitor classes and keep the students moving through the screening process.  The screening will take place in room 7.

No School for Staff and Students.

Tuesday, September 8
Shepherd Visit
Mr. Bond, the shepherd, will be in David Skeet today to write Mr. Bell's evaluation.  There will be no classroom visits from Mr. Bond.  Whewww (Phew)!
Wednesday, September 9
The University of Virginia will be visiting David Skeet today
The school's turnaround visit from the University of Virginia will occur today.  They will look at the school's 90-Day Plan with the shepherd, Mr. Tim Bond.  They may ask your understanding of the 90-Day Plan and how it impacts students' learning in the classroom.  Be prepared.
